Hi, I'm Burcu Gül Kaplan; recruitment insider, business psychologist, and founder of Authentic Career.
I'm the first in my family to become an immigrant, earn a master's degree, and build a career in the corporate world. When I moved to Poland, I expected hard work to be enough. It wasn't. The hiring system had its own rules, and nobody was explaining them.
So I went inside it.
I built my career in recruitment, screening 200+ CVs every day and making decisions that shaped people's futures. I learned exactly how the system works, then used that knowledge for myself. In 4 months, I went through 70+ interviews, received 3 job offers, and doubled my salary.
What I learned is this: it's not just about being qualified. It's about understanding how decisions are really made and knowing how to position yourself within that reality.
That's why I founded Authentic Career.
With a background in business psychology and talent acquisition at Oliver Wyman, Point72, Philip Morris International, and ING, I combine insider hiring knowledge with a psychology-based understanding of how people think and communicate under pressure.
I help immigrants, non-native speakers, and new graduates stop guessing and start navigating.
